Meditated for the first time in a while. Feeling fantastic! The fireworks that were going off during the Christmas festival (La Novena) caused some negative thoughts that needed to be given space.
But then it became part of the practice. Noticing the sound of the launch, anticipating the loud bangs, checking to see how many times the body reacted, and then returning to resting.
Notice Christmas music popping into the mind here and there as well. When I “turned it off,” which never lasted for too long, I noticed a palpable sense of relief. The background noise in my head is contributing to my anxiety!
This is my first time using instructions from Piercing the Autumn Sky: A Guide to Discovering the Natural Freedom of Mind. I think I will try this style again!
